Which one fits your shop?

Jobber may fit if…

  • Two-tech shop closing 400 jobs a month
  • Shop running Android phones across the crew

Why: The same arithmetic run backwards. Four hundred jobs a month puts you on ServiceM8's Premium plan at $149/mo, and the unlimited users you are paying for are two people. Jobber's Core at $49/mo month-to-month plus one extra seat at $29/mo is $78/mo for the same two techs, with no published job cap that we found. Note the asymmetry in what we know: Jobber's job allowance is recorded unknown rather than unlimited, because vendor silence is not a verified absence.

ServiceM8 may fit if…

  • Six-tech crew doing roughly 40 jobs a month

Why: On published prices this is not close, and it is entirely an artefact of the billing axis. ServiceM8's Starter plan is $29/mo for 50 jobs a month with unlimited users, so the sixth tech costs nothing. On Jobber, five extra seats at $29/mo each is $145/mo on top of the plan fee. The caveat is the one this page cannot skip: if those techs carry Android phones they get the cut-down Lite app, and we could not verify ServiceM8's GPS tracking, dispatch or workflow automation at all.

Where neither one leads

  • Shop that needs GPS tracking on the trucks — Jobber's GPS tracking is verified as supported, though we did not establish which tier first includes it. ServiceM8's GPS tracking is unverified — we did not find it on any page we reached, and its features page 404s. That is a gap in our research, not a statement that ServiceM8 lacks GPS, so there is no lean here until someone reaches that page. Ask ServiceM8 directly before you rule it in or out.
